I did a doodle today as our hedgehog visitor has had his status upgraded to 'resident'. Prickles Palace, located near the Bird Cafe, is looking inviting and cosy... So will be perfect for the stinky dog food that will be left out for our newest member this evening!

I did a doodle today as we have a hedgehog visiting us. I absolutely adore these prickly little fellas, with their infamous snuffly noses and absurdly loud grunting.

We are now working out ways to keep him (or her) visiting our garden. So far my Little One has built a house out of a plastic crate, log, dried grass and sea shells... Now what discerning little hedgehog wouldn't want to live in a house like that!

I did a doodle today of Flamingos, or as my daughter calls them 'Mingo-Mingos'!

Why? To decorate a bathroom of course! My daughters bathroom was a bit drab and not very child-orientated in decor, so I decided to ask her how she'd like it.

"Blue sky and water on the walls, Mummy, and then some lovely pinky peachy Mingo-Mingos."

Oh, ever wished you hadn't asked?!

So here is one of the Mingo-Mingos in progress... Not too shabby for my first wall mural!

I did a doodle today and finished my bashful little girl. She is perfect for her character and now it's the turn of her best friend...

I did a doodle today, taking my bashful little girl a stage further. She has arms, coy hands and a very cool turtleneck. Come on ladies, who didn't love ponies when they were little?!

I did a doodle today as I've been looking at how hands communicate with such simplicity. I love that by just bending or turning or stretching parts of your hand, you can say such powerful things.

Simple is strong.

I did a doodle today as part one of (what I hope will be) a finished character. She's a bashful, ever-so-slightly cheeky, girl who will embark on some adventures with her best friend.

So, today we have her head. My plan is to keep you posted,stage by stage, over this coming week of her development...
